In the 1940’s, Anna and Otto Braune had a dream of building a main house, four cabins, boat house, and fish house on one of Wisconsin’s three quiet lakes, Lost Land Lake where people could come and enjoy nature while fishing, swimming, hiking and relaxing. Perfectly situated across the lake from the setting sun each evening, for over seven decades now, people have been enjoying the spectacular sunsets from the screened in porches of these charming, rustic log cabins. With the resort passing eventually to Anna’s sister, Betty Thornbury and then to her son William Thornbury and his wife, Mary Thornbury, we are proud to announce that the third generation, Brad and Barb Thornbury have recently taken over the operations for the resort, ensuring that this quaint, lovingly kept get-away will remain family owned and cherished.
